ORGANIZATIONS

Central Rivers Farmshed 
An organization representing all aspects of the food system whose members are committed to making Central Wisconsin a renowned, local food community. Farmshed works to expand the connection between local residents and their food.

This map is intended for use by residents, and visitors of Central Wisconsin to find places, information and resources related to living a sustainable life and improving one of the finest communities anywhere!

Portage County CAN Network
We are a partnership of community businesses, organizations, and individuals committed to promoting physical activity and healthy eating through education, policy, and environmental changes.

Get Active Wood County (Communities Putting Prevention to Work)
Get Active Wood County is a hub of local obesity prevention initiatives. Our coalition of local businesses, schools and non-profit organizations drives a mission to create a healthier Wood County.

GEM Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry Program (GEMSAF)
GEMSAF is part of the Global Environmental Management Center (GEM) of the College of Natural Resources at UW-Stevens Point.

Located in Custer, the MREA hosts an annual energy fair that includes speakers and workshops focused on local and regional foods.

Healthy Eating, Active Living Marathon County

Columbia County Local Food Collaboration
A regional effort to coordinate, among other things, farmers markets, local food events, community gardens, and institutional buying.
